A list from a nonpartisan group has listed Rep. Victoria Spartz as the “worst boss” in Congress.

In the calendar year 2021, data collected by the group Legistorm shows that Spartz’s office had the highest turnover rate of staffers than any other representative’s office in the U.S. House.

According to Politico, many staffers who quit working in her office said she has a habit of cursing out workers and belittling them in front of others.

In response to the claims, Spartz said that her working style is “not for everyone” and that she is passionate about making sure she is doing all she can to serve her district in Congress.

“A lot of these younger people need to toughen up,” Spartz told Indy Politics. “We have a lot of good people, which for me is very important. I want to make sure that I’m extending my team in the district and make sure we serve constituents.”

The Politico report also details accusations from staffers that she tends to be “avoiding firings and instead (is) bullying aides until they leave on their own.”

“I’m a person that, you know, if I’m going to dedicate part of my life to the republic I need to get stuff done,” Spartz added. “There are different people, different styles. You know, my style is to deliver results. D.C is a tough place so you need to have tough cookies around.”

Spartz, a former state senator in Indiana, is in a period of heightened exposure to the public. Being a native of Ukraine, Spartz has been a vocal advocate for the Ukrainian people in the U.S. as Russia continues its invasion of her home country. She has also been one of the most vocal critics of President Biden’s response to the invasion.

Leave her alone. She’s right-the snowflakes need to toughen up.
