Juvenile arrested after firearm found in backpack

A juvenile has been arrested following the discovery of a firearm inside a backpack at Washington High School. It happened on Thursday afternoon, Sep. 22,after a fight between two students.
While investigating the circumstances surrounding the altercation, school personnel retrieved a backpack in a locker belonging to one of the students involved.
The bag was turned over to the officer, who located a loaded gun inside.
Because the suspect had a prior weapons offense, the juvenile was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail instead of the Juvenile Justice Center.

I’m pretty sure this juvenile DID NOT go into a licensed gun shop and buy this gun with his credit card. He would not have been able to do that because he is underage, and has a previous gun charge on his record. All you people who think gun control works only have to think about his case a little bit. He either stole the gun from a parent or friend or bought it for cash from someone who stole it from someone else. No background check. No credit card code to track him with. No Nothin’!!! He is more than likely to also be part of the 13% who have been taught for decades they are owed by the 87%. They think they can disregard the law because of this. On top of that the school authorities apparently do not have security at school in hand or the kid might not have felt he needed to defend himself on their property. Bottom line, NONE of the gun control laws worked. We are only very fortunate that the authorities acted swiftly to confiscate the firearm and arrest the kid before he shot someone or many someones.

Of course he’s part of that 13%, and of course the school couldn’t kick him out sooner because that wouldn’t be “equitable”.

Drug runners bring tons of illegal “stuff” into the country. For some to believe that a few hundred pounds of that won’t be firearms and ammunition to be distributed to their faithful is ludicrous.

Criminals will have guns no matter how many you take from the law abiding. The only reason for a government to disarm its populace is to do things to them they wouldn’t be able to if they were armed. No armed populace ever loaded themselves into cattle cars to be shipped to reeducation camps.
