The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute has awarded $3-million worth of grants to over 50 public and nonprofit organizations, including dozens of police and prosecutor officers across the state, through the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program.
“STOP” stands for services, training, officers and prosecutors.
The grants are used to fund legal training for police and court workers, victim support services, and help train special prosecutors and investigators who work on cases of crimes against women.
