Gas prices are down during the holiday week, but they’re still expected to be higher than the Thanksgiving record.
In Michigan, AAA says the statewide average price dropped 23 cents on Monday. That’s attributed to lower crude oil prices. Michigan’s previous Thanksgiving record was $3.61 a gallon, set ten years ago. The state average this week is $3.79.
Monday’s average price in Indiana was even higher, at $3.85 per gallon according to GasBuddy dot com. That price, however, is down nearly 20 cents compared to a week ago. In Northwest Indiana last week, the price nose-dived as much as 40 cents per gallon
