Several Elkhart, Warsaw and Edwardsburg schools are closed and switching to e-learning.

In Warsaw, the decision was made based on advice from the Kosciusko County Health Department.

Leesburg Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Lakeview Middle School, and Warsaw Community High School – will switch to e-Learning, for Thursday, Dec. 15 and Friday, Dec. 16, as a result of high absenteeism of students, teachers, bus drivers, and support staff.

All other Wawsaw Community Schools will remain open and have in-person learning on their regular schedules.

All middle and high school students in Elkhart Community Schools will have virtual learning on Thursday because of a bus driver shortage. Elementary students will attend school in person.

Edwardsburg Schools will also have e-learning on Thursday.

So why the high absentee lists? COVID scare is over (never was a scare). If they refuse to go to school, hold them back a year. There is no reason for this!
