No criminal charges against former St. Joseph County Clerk after entering absentee ballot room alone

There will be no criminal charges filed against former St. Joseph County Clerk Rita Glenn, who was seen on video entering the county’s absentee ballot room without following correct procedures.

With the Indiana State Police investigation turned over, the special prosecutor assigned to the case has concluded a lack of evidence that shows Glenn committed a crime.

As you’ll recall, video of Glenn entering the room, then discarding papers into a trash receptacle hit the news media, last year, that made it appear that Glenn could have been discarding absentee ballots before the primary vote, last May.

The guidelines state that two people, one Republican and one Democrat, are required to enter that particular room at the same time.

This isn’t the last you’ll be hearing about the issue. A lawsuit has been filed against the county election board by the Indiana and St. Joseph County Republican parties.

Why isn’t there camera s in the ballot room and maybe a third key holder to make sure the two parties aren’t getting keys the shouldn’t have.

Good idea. This isn’t the same county that does not have proper security of ballots before or after being voted. It is also not the first time a St. Joe County Democrat has been caught doing something nefarious during elections.

She had a key she is not legally supposed to have. She entered a room solo that she was not supposed to enter solo. She destroyed SOMETHING (or a bag full of somethings) with no oversight.

Sorry, this dog doesn’t hunt. It certainly looks like the ISP has been infiltrated.
