Chaos erupted during a high school basketball game in South Bend.

Police were called, around 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, to Washington High School when a large fight broke out on to the court.

Washington was taking on their cross-town rival, Riley High School when a fight began on the sidelines and quickly escalated throughout the stands and on to the court.

It’s not known, just yet, what sparked the fight.

Though several ambulances were called to the scene, there were no reports of any major injuries.

South Bend Police did not make any arrests.

Twitter posts indicate that Purdue head basketball coach Matt Painter was in attendance during the first half of the game to scout potential recruits.
