A Winter Storm is heading our way Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday. The farther northwest you live, this will be an all snow event. The farther south and east, expect some freezing rain, that’s why your snow totals are lower.
A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued for Berrien and Cass counties in SW Michigan as well as LaPorte and St. Joseph counties in northern Indiana. It will go into effect on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Arrival looks like it will happen after lunch on Wednesday thus impacting drivers Wednesday evening-Thursday morning.
It is likely that much of our area gets 4-6″ of snow, however, the rain/snow line will limit those. Where this line ends up will cause different amounts to fall. This is the part that is not quite set in stone yet. We will have much more on how this looks this afternoon and Tuesday morning.
Bottom line, travel will be impacted Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
