The ACLU of Indiana has filed a lawsuit against Ball State University, alleging the wrongful termination of a former employee.
The lawsuit claims Suzanne Swierc was fired over a private social media post she made about conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The post was later shared online, leading to harassment and threats.
The ACLU argues the termination violated Swierc’s First Amendment rights as a public employee.

The first amendment guarantees THE CONGRESS Shall make no law against free speech. Public and private employers are free to cause consequences when an employee decides to make very nasty comments. There are consequences. In days gone by before electronic methods of speech your free speech ended at the end of the guys fist you offended. IACLU is wrong again and should save their money for real abuses.
