About five-thousand kids age 12-to-15 got vaccinated against COVID-19 Thursday, the first day they were eligible.

The newest eligibles represent about 40-percent of those who got their first vaccine dose on Thursday. It’s a little more than one-percent of the 360-thousand kids in that age group.

Nurse Tiffany Davis with the Marion County Health Department says there’s been a slow ramp-up with each expansion to a new age group. She says the department’s vaccine clinic on Indy’s westside had about 80 appointments for 12-to-15-year-olds for Friday, the second day of eligibility.

That clinic and others accept walk-ins as well. The new Centers for Disease Control guidance on masks may be having a side effect on vaccinations. Davis says there were about 100 walk-ins after the CDC announced you don’t need to mask up once you’re fully vaccinated. Davis says many people appear to have taken that as the incentive they needed.

Of the three COVID vaccines approved for use in the U-S, only the Pfizer vaccine is approved fror people under 18. A parent or guardian needs to accompany them for their first dose and sign a consent form. For the second dose three weeks later, Davis says a parent can designate up to three adults who can fill that role in their place.

I want to speak with Casey Hendrickson about an unemployment case. I have not received benefits for a year and 5 mths. dispite contacting unemployment weekly, also spoke to State Representative. I need help, my husband advised me to contact Casey. He follows him religiously. He told me Casey helped a guy get his benefits after a year. So I’m reaching out to see if Casey can help me. Thank you. Elizabeth Richardson

Hi Sean I’ve listened to you for more years than I can remember. Always respected you, your thinking and ethics.
In Ohio the last 3 weeks prior to the general election there was a deluge of deceitful and outright lies about Issue 1 abortion. We have had abortion rights here for years. But the ads promoted the only way to keep abortion rights was to change the constitution. They didn’t mentioned in the ads that this also opened up to transgender children and abortion up to birth, which Ohioans mostly opposed . I worked the polls that day and people who hardly cared to vote came our to protect something they already had. The RNC is doing a poor job of messaging and are constantly on defense. If conservative values are going to have a chance of winning, they need to come out hard hitting with what we want to do for the country, including saving the middle class and seniors, STOP being defense and clearly show why what the progressives are doing is taking away from the US citizens. Vivik Ramasymy approach is the correct course. We need to be as loud or even louder. The majority of voters, especially progressive leaning are not educated and rely on the “honesty ” of the left ads which appeal to their hearts and sympathies, not realizing by going along they are losing the very freedoms they think they are voting to have.
The RNC needs a good marketing company. Un less, the RNC is so imbedded in the system that they aren’t doing what needs to be done and just pretending for show. Media is not news now it is propaganda. We need to use the same tools if we are to be heard.
Thanks for reading
All the best to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving
