The armed robbery was reported at about 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, at the Gallops Marathon gas station on U.S. 20 in LaPorte County near the Porter County line.

The 59-year-old victim told officers he was sitting in the cab of his semi when the suspect opened the door and pointed a small caliber chrome handgun at him, according to Capt. Michael Kellems with the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department.
