Bomb threat reported at Chassix in Bristol for fourth time since Nov. 12

A bomb threat was reported at Chassix in Bristol on Monday morning, Dec. 7, the fourth such threat in five weeks.

The threat was discovered on the wall of a men’s bathroom stall just before 2:30 a.m. Monday, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. Police searched the building but didn’t find anything.

Three other threats have been reported at Chassix in recent weeks. The first bomb threat was discovered written in a bathroom at about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12. A second threat was found in a bathroom stall at about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 17, while a third threat was called in over the phone at about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

Brandon Neiley, 34, of South Bend, was arrested and charged with intimidation, a felony, in connection to the threat that was phoned in. He pleaded not guilty Friday, Dec. 4.

Neiley has not been charged in connection to the written bomb threats.
