Michigan Road bridge near Plymouth to be demolished this spring and summer

Drivers heading to and from Plymouth along Old U.S. 31 may need to find a different route for a few months.

The Michigan Road bridge off of Old U.S. 31 south of U.S. 6 will be demolished and replaced with a road beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, March 18, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The bridge will be closed until the beginning of July.

Detour signs will be placed along state-maintained roads. Drivers are encouraged to take U.S. 6, U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 to get in and out of Plymouth.
