A federal watchdog will probe the Environmental Protection Agency’s handling of Benton Harbor’s drinking water problem.
The EPA’s inspector general announced the study on Friday, and says they will cooperate with the review of their work.
Advocacy groups are accusing agencies on the local, state and federal level of “a lackluster response” to several years of high lead readings in Benton Harbor’s water samples
