Two Benton Harbor Police officers are in the hospital after being shot.

It happened in the 700 block of Highland Avenue shortly before midnight on Thursday, April 7.

Michigan State Police say the officers were shot in the legs. Their conditions have been stabilized and both are expected to survive.

A suspect was also shot. That person’s condition is not known.

There was no immediate word about what led to the gunfire.
