A Middlebury man was injured in a serious bodily injury crash in Goshen.
The collision happened around 10:20 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, on State Road 15.
Officers were called about a reckless driver. The caller said they saw a white Dodge Challenger, driving erratically. The caller said the suspect driver, a 23-year-old Middlebury man, hit a mailbox in the area of State Road 15 and County Road 42 and then left the scene.
The driver was allegedly seen weaving from lane to lane as he approached the intersection of Lincolnway East where another was stopped in the left turn lane waiting for a red light.
The vehicle hit the other car, then flipped over on its roof and slid several feet.
The Middlebury man was unconscious, but breathing. He had to be extricated from his car and airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old Goshen boy, left the scene but was found at the Walmart store on Lincolnway East.
