MI absentee ballot counts could speed up results

(Tommie Lee/953MNC)

Michigan’s new absentee ballot count option may result in faster election results from the crucial state in November.

A new Michigan law will allow clerks to process absentee ballots early, which means results might be coming in sooner on election day. But Bridge Michigan reports that some clerks in the state are not taking advantage of the new pre-processing window, which could slow the results.

Cities that got a head start opening the envelopes and checking signatures reported a smoother election night, though there were a few hiccups reported.

The expanded pre-processing laws in Michigan say that election officials can take in returned absentee ballots, verify signatures, open the envelopes, ensure the correct ballot was returned, and even scan them through the tabulator — but they can’t yet officially count the votes.

This law conveniently allows the left to get a more accurate count of how many ballots they need to create to win on election day. Truly, a pinnacle of convenience (for the fraudsters).
