The South Bend School Board is preparing to remove Superintendent Todd Cummings and negotiations are underway for his departure.

On Wednesday evening, the board will vote on an interim superintendent, selecting from Sarita Stevens, Mansour Eid and Davion Lewis.

Cummings came under fire after not delaying or cancelling classes on a morning when roads became icy and travel became treacherous.

The school board meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Brown Administration Building in South Bend.

As a retired Senior Manager I can say first, I do not know all the details. I can say that this abrupt firing, over what seems to be an over blown reaction by the board will make many candidates hesitate from taking a position in South Bend
