South Bend Schools have approved two new bus contracts

The first contract could bring as many as 15 bus drivers for $360 per day for up to six hours, and the second could bring in three drivers at a rate of $518 per day, according to WSBT.

School board member William Sniadecki says that this lets the district make sure every student has reliable transportation to and from school.

Sniadecki says he also believes that it will help the school corporation prepare for next year as the district hopes to get a contract to provide bussing to all St. Joseph County schools.
