Teddy bear drive to support local law enforcement, children in crisis

A community collection drive is underway to provide comfort to children in traumatic situations. From Sept. 8 through Sept. 28, teddy bears and small stuffed animals are being collected for local law enforcement agencies, with support from Hensley Legal Group.
The donated toys will be distributed by officers to children who are involved in accidents or other emergencies, giving them a source of comfort in stressful or frightening moments.
Organizers say the effort is a simple way for the public to give back while supporting both first responders and young people in need.
Community members are encouraged to donate new or gently used child-sized teddy bears or stuffed animals. Drop-off locations include Hensley Legal Group’s office as well as participating Best-One Tire & Auto Care locations throughout Michiana.  Click HERE for specific drop-off locations.
Also, join us for a daylong drive-thru Teddy Bear Patrol collection at the 95.3 MNC studios at 237 W. Edison Road in Mishawaka on Friday, Sep. 12, as we collect teddy bears and stuffed animals along with our sister-stations, B100, 103.9 The Bear, and Froggy 102.7. 95.3 MNC’s Tommie Lee will broadcast live from the drive from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.
