Ball State University has confirmed that they have fired the Director of Health Promotion and Advocacy over comments made about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Suzanne Swierc’s social media post expressed disdain for Kirk’s character. The university said her post caused “disruption” on campus.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita condemned Swierc’s comments and encouraged reporting of educators with similar rhetoric.
The university confirmed that a second employee’s post is also under review.
