Motorcyclist injured in crash at County Roads 5 and 2 in Elkhart County

A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a collision at the intersection of County Roads 5 and 2, approximately 2 miles northwest of Elkhart city limits.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, a 24-year-old from Elkhart was driving a 2025 Toyota Corolla northwest on County Road 5 when he attempted a left turn onto County Road 2. His vehicle collided with a 2018 Indian motorcycle driven southeast by a 57-year-old from Elkhart. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist suffered a head laceration, two broken feet, and a broken ankle. He was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment. The driver of the car was not injured.
