Elkhart Police detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with a 2022 homicide.

Authorities say 23-year-old DeShawn Williams is wanted on an active arrest warrant for the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Anthony Williams, which occurred in September 2022 on the 2200 block of Vermont Street in Elkhart. The Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Williams with murder.

Police describe Williams as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 130 pounds. Investigators believe he may still be in the Elkhart area or possibly in the Chicago area.
