Indiana Gaming Commission lists Auburn as top site for potential casino relocation

The Indiana Gaming Commission listed Auburn as a top potential site for a casino relocation, specifically near I-69 and State Road 8, says State Rep. Ben Smaltz.
While Smaltz says he’s unaware of any formal effort to build a casino, he emphasized the need for caution, citing research that shows expanded gambling access can increase issues like addiction and financial hardship.
Smaltz believes any move should involve an independent review to assess impacts on traffic, infrastructure, and social concerns.
