(WSBT Storm Alert Team) A Wind Advisory is in effect for our entire area until 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29.

We’ll have another round of widespread rain Sunday as we soar to the mid to upper 50s for our highs. Thunderstorms can’t be ruled out as a large front pushes through the area, bringing the possibility of damaging winds to the southern part of the area. This front will also thrust back into winter weather. Wind gusts on Sunday could reach 35 miles per hour.

A cold and windy day on Monday with highs in the low 20s and winds gusting up near 60 miles per hour. Lake effect snow also settles in with far northern Indiana counties seeing 1-3 inches of snow. Parts of Berrien, Cass, and St. Joseph counties in Michigan could see 3-5 inches of snow, with isolated areas seeing more.

Highs will stay in the upper 20s to low 30s through a majority of the week ahead of us with low snow chances most days.
