Elkhart County Jail inmates return to jail after being treated for seizures at Elkhart General Hospital

Five Elkhart County Jail inmates rushed to the Elkhart General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon are now back at the jail and under medical observation.

The inmates had seizures on Wednesday after they smoked an unknown substance, according to a news release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

The substance will be tested as police continue to investigate the incident, according to the news release. The inmates have not been named.
