St. Joseph County Metro Homicide believes a body found Wednesday evening in Marshall County is that of a 22-year-old woman who was last seen since on April 12, WSBT reports.
According to WSBT, 24-year-old Alberto Cruz has been booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder in the South Bend woman’s death.
Metro Homicide Commander Tim Corbett confirmed South Bend Police were able to gather enough information from Cruz to locate the body of Alma Del Real.

Her body was found in the area of S.R. 10 and Queen Road, near Culver Academy. The area was blocked off for several hours this evening as police and the coroner were investigated.
An autopsy will be conducted on Thursday, ABC 57 reports.
Corbett said new information will be given in 48 hours.
