Two Warsaw residents were arrested over the weekend on meth-related charges after police found them hiding in a bedroom closet in a home where a meth lab was found.

Police received tips about suspicious activity happening at a trailer in the Shamrock Mobile Home Park on Sunday, June 7, according to a news release from Warsaw Police Department.

When they arrived, police detected chemical odors associated with meth. They searched the home and found a meth lab hidden in a floor register, according to the news release.

Scott Reiter, 52, and Lee Ann Lowrance, 31, were found hiding in a bedroom closet. They were both arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, 5-10 grams, a level 3 felony; dealing methamphetamine, a level 5 felony; and possession of precursors, a level 6 felony.

They are being held without bond in the Kosciusko County Jail. If convicted of all three charges, Reiter and Lowrance could each spend up to 24 ½ years in prison.

The Warsaw Fire Department was also called while the meth lab was being cleaned up because of the volatile nature of the chemicals.
