U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan to make swing through Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan will be making stops in Indiana later this month as a part of a seven-state “back to school” bus tour.

On Sept. 16, Duncan will deliver a morning lecture at Purdue University in West Lafayette. Later, that evening, he will participate in a town hall forum at Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis.

The U.S. Department of Education said in a release that the tour will “celebrate how states and local communities are working to increase access and opportunity from early learning through college.”

Duncan’s bus tour will also makes stops in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
