Indiana Regional Cities development money winners to be announced Tuesday afternoon

Gov. Mike Pence is expected to announce today the two regions in the Hoosier state that will each receive half of $84 million in Indiana Regional Cities development money.

The Indiana Regional Cities Strategic Review Committee is meeting at 1 p.m. at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis. The committee is expected to finalize its recommendations. The Northern Indiana plan, which focuses on St. Joseph, Elkhart and Marshall counties, is considered one of three finalists.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation will then meet at 2 p.m. to consider the committee’s recommendations.

Pence will host a press conference at 2:45 p.m. to formally announce recipients.
