Man dressed as woman allegedly robbed Elkhart bank Wednesday morning

Police are looking for a man dressed as a woman.

The accused suspect entered the Key Bank location on S. Main St. near Concord Mall at about 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to The Elkhart Truth.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. It’s not known if he showed a weapon, according to police.

The suspect is a black man dressed as a woman, standing between 5’6 and 5’9, weighing 150 pounds with a black wig and tattooed sideburns. He was dressed in a red turtleneck with a gray sweatshirt over it and was carrying a black handbag. A maroon Buick sedan he was allegedly seen in was last seen near the railroad tracks on Sunnyside Dr. east of U.S. 33, according to the Elkhart Truth.

No arrests have been made.
