A nonprofit that wants to open an abortion clinic in South Bend isn’t giving up their fight.
Whole Woman’s Health Alliance has purchased a digital billboard on Indiana 23 near Notre Dame, which states “Women in South Bend need abortion care without shame or stigma.”
That’s just one of a handful of similar billboards going up in the area, even though the nonprofit group from Texas lost its attempt to get a license from the Indiana State Health Department.
The South Bend Tribune reports Whole Woman’s Health Alliance is appealing that decision. If the appeal goes through, it would clear the way to open a clinic on Lincoln Way West west of Bendix.
