Kosciusko County officials now looking at making U.S. 30 a freeway

Kosciusko County wants to explore the idea of making U.S. 30 a freeway.

The City of Warsaw is also joining in the discussion, and city officials say six other counties are now looking into making U.S. 30 a freeway to improve safety and traffic flow.

Warsaw and Kosciusko County officials will join others in the so-called “U.S. 30 Coalition” will help host a public meeting on Thursday, May 24th at 7 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. Current traffic counts and crash data will be presented and the community will be encouraged to give their input.

The group is using U.S. 31 between South Bend and Indianapolis as a template for what U.S. 30 in Indiana could be.

More un-needed crap coming to Indiana! May 21, 2018 at 7:42 am

I drive US 30 all the time. It is just fine the way it is but this will be a great project to use to get more money out of our pockets and squander it as usual. How about repaving the roads we already have!
