Former Speaker Ryan speaks at Notre Dame

The Former Speaker of the House of Representatives spoke at Notre Dame last week.

Former Speaker Paul Ryan, who ran for Vice President in 2012 on the Mitt Romey ticket, is serving as a guest lecturer at Notre Dame for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Notre Dame Observer reports the Wisconsin Republican delivered an argument that a more robust method of data collection could go a long way to improving how effective and efficient Federal programs can be.

Ryan also said success in national politics, once dependent on policymaking prowess, now seems to be largely measured through entertainment value.
