A Notre Dame fan was arrested last month after he allegedly injured a reserve officer.

The St. Joseph County Reserve Officer was asked to deal with the 20-year-old fan, later identified as Daniel Perez, during a game on September 14. An usher told the officer Perez appeared to have alcohol and was being uncooperative.

When the officer attempted to detain Perez, Perez ran into him, making them both fall to the ground. ABC 57 reports Perez then kicked the officer, causing a leg injury.

Perez was given a breath test, which showed a .201 BAC. He was arrested and charged with one count of Battery Against a Public Safety Official.
