A South Bend left the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Osceola Saturday afternoon.

It happened just west of Elkhart on Ash Road. officials say the 23 year-old driver was one of three people injured in a crash involving four vehicles.

Police believe he struck one vehicle, causing a third to hit it before crashing into the side of a bridge. A fourth vehicle was hit after the driver of the first hit a wall.

Officials say the driver of the first vehicle fled the scene but was eventually located and taken to Elkhart General Hospital.

The investigation continues and there was no word of any charges.
