A bill being considered in the Indiana House would allow for voluntary euthanasia for the terminally ill.

Supporters of House Bill 1020 argue that people in pain deserve the right to die on their own terms, but opponents say those choices are often made from positions of anxiety and emotion. The bill is designed to give control and dignity to dying patients, according to its author.

After an initial request there would be a mandatory 15-day waiting period and another consultation with a doctor. The patient would have to give themselves the medication. Seven states and the District of Columbia have similar legislation on the books. If approved the law would go into effect on July 1st.

This is what happens when a society turns away from trusting God in His love and sovereignty. Evil never stands still. In time it will go further and further, getting worse and worse. Do we really want to become so uncivilized?
