Police in South Bend responded to a report of a car explosion Tuesday morning.

It happened at Ireland and Ironwood shortly before 7 a.m.

No roads were closed in the area but traffic was moving slowly during the police response.

There’s no word on what caused the explosion and no injuries were reported.
