A Louisiana truck driver who was on death row was executed at the federal prison in Terre Haute Friday night.
Alfred Bourgeois, 56, was pronounced dead a little after 8. That makes him the 10th federal inmate on death row to be executed this year.
Three more executions are planned for January.
Bourgeois was convicted of severely abusing his 2-year-old daughter for two weeks in 2002 and later killing her. His lawyers argued he had an intellectual disability.
