If you need help paying your rent, you can now apply for rental assistance from the state.

The state of Indiana is accepting applications for its rental assistance program. There’s nearly $450 million dollars in rental assistance money available.

Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch says the program is designed to cover up to a year’s worth of rent — either this year or what’s due from last year.

Not everyone will qualify for help, and not everyone who qualifies will get aid.

You can apply at IndianaHousingNow.org.
