Missing girl, 6, found dead in wooded area in New Carlisle

A 6-year-old girl reported missing in the area of Chapman Street in New Carlisle on Friday, March 12, was found dead.

The call to police about the missing girl happened around 6:30 p.m.

Just before 8:30 p.m. the child was found in a wooded area near Chapman.

The victim has been identified as Grace Ross of New Carlisle.

A 14-year-old suspect was arrested shortly afterward.

The name of the suspect is not being released at this time, as he is progressing through the juvenile system.
