Snow plow drivers needed for the winter season

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

It seems like everyone is hiring right now, and that includes the people who clear the winter roads.

INDOT and MDOT are both looking to hire Highway Maintenance Technicians ahead of the coming winter season, and people with CDLs are in high demand everywhere.

Nick Schirripa of MDOT tells WSJM that the roads are not going to go unplowed, but with fewer plow drivers the process might take longer than people are used to. Southwest Michigan has about 34 fewer plow drivers than usual so far.

MDOT opportunities.

INDOT opportunities.

Lets see, this may be a management problem PAY is less than 17 dollars an hour correct>? To handle a 250,000 dollar truck, in dangerous, harsh conditions making sure you do not harm yourself others, or do damage?
