Several Hoosier counties are under an Air Quality Action Day today.
High ozone levels are in the forecast as the heat index reaches as high as 105 degrees. Because of that, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management says dozens of counties are under action day status.
Children, elderly people, and anyone with heart or lung conditions should avoid working outside today.
People are also asked to avoid using gasoline-powered lawn equipment until after 7 p.m.
