Farm implements are on the road for harvest season

Harvest season is underway throughout the region, and that means drivers on area roads on both sides of the state line need to be aware of agricultural vehicles on the roads.

The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning reminds everyone that there will be slow-moving vehicles on the roads, such as tractors and combines. Farmers are moving from field to field to bring in the harvest, and should be displaying the orange triangle sign on the backs of their vehicles. Remember to slow down when you see them, and stay alert on area roads, especially in hilly areas when visibility is impaired.
