If you are wondering why Mishawaka Fire crews were at University Park Mall, here’s the reason: A fire was reported just before 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, on the roof above Flat Top Grill.

Crews say blown transformers triggered the alarm.

Light smoke could be seen from the roof, though there were no flames. It’s not believed that there was any significant damage.

The investigation into the fire is still underway.
