Former Bethany Christian Schools employee arrested on child seduction charges

A former employee of Bethany Christian Schools has been arrested on charges of child seduction.
Goshen police received a report of child solicitation in late April, leading to 26-year-old Kyle Snyder’s arrest.
According to Goshen police, parents of a 17-year-old Bethany Christian student discovered inappropriate contact between Snyder and their daughter.
Snyder served as the assistant theater director for both high school and middle school, had been the girl’s theater teacher and later tutored her in math.
The parents became suspicious and contacted police. With the family’s consent, Goshen police examined the girl’s phone, finding 34,000 text messages, allegedly from Snyder, and many of them, sexual in nature.
The Goshen News reports Snyder was dismissed from Bethany Christian Schools earlier this year for making inappropriate comments to other students during a math tutoring session outside of school.
