Going Pro Talent Fund grant applications now open

Applications are now being taken for the next round of Going Pro Talent Fund grants.

Michigan Works in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties is paying for new training for workers.

The grants pay up to $2,000 for non-apprenticed employees and up to $3,500 for apprenticed employees.

According to WSJM, this year they were able to assist 69 companies within the three counties, awarding a total of $4.6 million.

The application period runs through October 18 and employers receiving support will be determined around December.
