Man Wanted for murder, molestation in Georgia arrested in South Bend

A 42-year-old man wanted on serious charges out of Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested in South Bend.
According to the St. Joseph County Police Department, members of its Warrants Division – with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service – located and took Alfonso Jackson into custody at a residence in the 800 block of Bryan Street on Friday, Jan. 16.
Authorities said Jackson was wanted in connection with charges of murder and child molesting in Georgia.
He was arrested without incident and transported to the St. Joseph County Jail for booking, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
