A Goshen man has pleaded guilty after being accused of threatening Goshen Community Schools.

18-year-old Andre Smith was arrested after a social media threat went viral in September. The post told Goshen high school students to “be ready” and had multiple gun and devil emojis.

A comment was also made on the post, threatening the Goshen Police Department.

A search warrant of the anonymous account gave the user’s birth date and GPS coordinate, and investigators were able to trace the IP address and Comcast internet bill to a home in Winchester Trails.

Smith was brought in for questioning and reportedly told police he made the account to scare others. The Goshen News says Smith pleaded guilty last week to intimidation.
