A man accused of a robbery in Elkhart has been sentenced in Elkhart County Circuit Court.

Jeffery Estep was charged with attempted robbery and theft after a September 2024 incident at Treasure Island Park.

According to court documents, the victim said a black SUV pulled up beside him and a man punched him in the face, demanding his wallet.

Surveillance video and license plate camera data linked Estep to the SUV.

The Goshen News says he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 years, with the sentence suspended to probation under a plea agreement.

12 years sentence suspended for probation instead.
I hope you follow up on this one. There’s only a few ways this will go in time.
1st, I honestly hope that Mr. Estep follows the rules and accomplish the probation without any other criminal activities involvement. Lives his life as a responsible person.
2nd, probation is people put in charge for watching over people who have broken the law. Some overseers have developed a sense of duty to get certain people violated in probation. It’s done by excessive testing, visiting workplaces to hinder employment opportunities, driving up fees, and causing the defendants violation.
3rd, the defendant outright blows the probation rules.

If inclined, prayers for the victims of the crimes, and that the criminal becomes a responsible citizen henceforth. As someone with no knowledge of any person in this report, I’m asking for others who can see the burden on our community if you would join us in prayers for God’s help and protection to change our society to His will?
